Nelson Johnson Memorial Golf Invitational
aka The CGIB Unofficial Golf Day, August 8th, 2013It’s time again to announce the annual Nelson Johnson Memorial Golf Invitational on August 8th, 2013. We shall be returning to Whitevale, the superb private course in the town of Whitevale near Pickering. This will be our 9th year for the event, which is held in honor of Nelson Johnson, an avid golfer, before he passed away far too prematurely.
Most of you will know by now that the event serves as a fundraiser for the Broad Reach Foundation, a charity that works with at-risk youth and helps them to refocus and get their lives on track. If you wish to find more information on this charity, please go to www.sailbroadreach.ca.
This is a great chance to network with friends and associates and has become the “Unofficial CGIB Golf Tournament” due to the number of members that throw their support behind and attend this great event.

Breakfasts are open for anyone to try us out and for members on a regular basis. They are a roundtable affair, where each and every participant is the speaker. Attendees are usually brokers but with a few insurer reps, TPA’s, EAP and other service providers to the industry. All are welcome to share and to learn from each other.
The agenda is whatever benefits related topic you want to discuss. When you book your spot, you can pay for others (bring a broker or an associate), invite associates to try us out, and add your item to our agenda.
Are you a broker? Request to chair the meeting and you can get great speaking practice in front of a group (better and safer than practising with clients :-)
